About the position

As Sales Engineer at PMC Hydraulics, you will be responsible for our important customers, which are large international world-leading companies. You will work with many global contacts both internally and externally. There is a high demand for smart industrial solutions and in the role, it is important that you have the ability to understand the customer's needs, add knowhow and build networks. Your task will be to support the customer and to ensure that new application opportunities and solutions are developed.
The main objective for the Sales Engineer is to generate profitable sales growth by adding more value primary with existing customers, in accordance with the Group strategy. This is not a “hunter profile”. It is a long relationship builder with current customers, who has a drive and takes proactive actions towards existing and new customers to get long-term profitable growth. The relationship is based on deep cooperation between PMC Hydraulics and the customer.
PMC Hydraulics has a close cooperation with preferred suppliers as well, which are defined in the product strategy. Together with this partner we have a mutual business plan to secure continues growth.
The position will be part of the Sales Team for Sweden and reports to Mikael Carlsson, Sales Manager Sweden, PMC Hydraulics. You will be part of our global sales organization of which 14 people are in Sweden. You can work from our office in Ystad/Gothenburg, or Kista/Umeå.
In this role, you will travel abroad, mainly within Sweden/Europe, but travel to Asia can occur.

Your profile

For the position as Sales Engineer in Sweden, we are looking for an experienced, proactive, and commercial person with technical/hydraulics experience. We believe that the candidate has good communications and analytical skills with experience from a technical heavy industry, automotive, construction or nearby, in areas such as mechatronics or hydraulics.
The ideal candidate has experiences from a similar role in a technical based company in a similar role with direct business responsibilities.
In addition, we are looking for a self-driven person with high drive and a proactive approach combined with structure and attention to critical details. The right candidate is a down to earth person with a great force of action and attention to the customer demands.
An important characteristic for the profile is the ambition to build solid relationships on all levels and ability to focus on cooperation and long-lasting partnerships with customers. The right candidate has a strong technical mindset with solid system capabilities understanding the importance, structure, and functionality behind the products. 
Further, it is important to be a stable person with a long-term perspective and a natural authority.

Role tasks

In your role, you will run, coordinate, and organize the business relations with the customers who has their HQ in Sweden, but also with their operations globally and you should:
  • Understand the customer's needs and develop the business
  • Operate and coordinate to customer opportunities
  • Build strong networks and project teams
  • Plan and implement development projects
  • Sell value to customer
  • Assist with technical competence and solve problems
  • Plan, implement and document sales, project management and customer/supplier meetings
  • In close collaboration with the customer, arrange on-site technology and product trainings

Personality and Experience

  • PMC Hydraulics is looking for a commercial engineering background and/or previous work experience in complex technology industries.
  • Customer-oriented and business-minded with an understanding of the entire business value chain.
  • Ability to build long-term, trustworthy, relationships with customer with a professional appearance in an organized and structured way.
  • You take own initiatives, are used to work independently and have a strong drive to find solutions for the customer and to achieve set goals

Education
