Job description

The CFO will have overall group responsibilities within Finance and be responsible for the Finance function’s processes, governance, and support to stakeholders and to lead, and develop the Finance team to manage the overall financial development of the Group.

The role of CFO is to report directly to CEO and will also be an important player in the Group Management Team, together with 9 colleagues from five different nationalities. The CFO will be operative responsible of a team of currently 15 people in the Finance organization, located in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Poland and China. In addition, the Finance organization located in India, Estonia and external services in Latvia will also be an indirect valuable resource of the Group Finance team. 

The main objective for the CFO is to create and sustain a reliable governance model for all Finance processes in the Group, including long term perspective of development of alignment on targets for the Group’s financial KPI’s through financial controlling. The position includes both daily operative obligations to facilitate and prioritize internal demands from the finance organization as well as from other functions in the Group. 

The business acumen and profitability focus are important for the role. PMC’s top 30 customers are OEM’s and account for about 70 % of the sales. The position as CFO needs to build a true understanding of these client’s reality and demand and, when requested, through interactions, as a part of the daily work.  

Your main tasks will be to:

Provide visionary and present leadership in a remote decentralized organization with different cultures, provide guidance and coaching to develop and maintain a high performing finance function by combining skills and personalities for the best of the company

  • Structure, prioritize and justify projects in alignment with CEO and group management team
  • Proactively participate in and promote knowledge sharing across the PMC Hydraulics Group
  • Control and ensure correctness within the company's finance function
  • Control mechanisms: business plan, cash flow and KPIs, currency effects
  • Financial controlling as a part of the daily work
  • Insurance topics following the Dacke Insurance policy
  • Finance topics following the Dacke Finance policy
  • Securing compliance with local finance regulations in the countries where PMC is active
  • The position demands building long relationships in all interactions with different internal and external stakeholders in a global business environment

Who are you?

The right candidate is a business-oriented CFO who is an important partner to the CEO and management team. She/he has a solid experience from leading a Finance function and is comfortable with working both strategically and on an operational level. The successful candidate shall be a good leader and communicator who can motivate managers and employees across functions. The CFO must have strong interpersonal skills and quickly build trust in different contexts and with stakeholders. Previous experience from working in an international environment is important in this role.  Further, the successful candidate has great drive combined with structure and sense of critical details. A down-to-earth and self-driving person with a high level of action and business focus. We believe the candidate has good communications and analytical skills with a knowledge of the structural fundamentals behind successful performance in a complex and high-demanding business environment.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience from senior and broad finance roles, as CFO or equivalent
  • Solid experience from Business Control, including analysis, management reporting, forecasting
  • Experience from industrial/manufacturing companies
  • Proven experience from managing a finance function in an international setting, with experience from leading people from different cultures remotely 
  • Experience from small/mid-size companies
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Fluent English, orally and in writing

  • Ambitious and commercially driven with a strong results orientation
