Sales and Customer Service Manager

We are currently looking for a dynamic and ambitious Sales and Customer Service Manager to PMC in Ballerup, Denmark.

Position

In this position you will have the overall responsibility for the sales in Denmark together with a very dedicated team. The Manager will manage and lead the sales organization consisting of 7 sales engineers and 3 customer service persons.

The main objective for this role is

  • Lead, guide and support the Sales and Customer Service team 
  • Working close together with the Business Development Manager, targeting sales and profitability growth
  • Being a part of the team also having your own customers 
  • Being involved and implementing PMC Strategies, Sales/Marketing -and Product Strategy
  • Being a part of the Nordic Sales Management team
  • Develop the Sales and Customer Service function and eCommerce business line
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders and function as Supply chain, forecasting and delivery precision
It’s important that the right candidate strives to keep and develop long-term relationships. This means that relationship with the customers is essential for PMC Hydraulics and not comparable with a normal customer-supplier relationship. The relationship is a long-term deep cooperation between parties that act together on the market with mutual business plans to secure continuous growth. 
The Sales and Customer Service Manager will be part of the Sales Management Team and will report to the CSO, PMC Hydraulics.

Profile

For the position as Sales and Customer Service Manager we are looking for a hands-on leader with interest and experiences from sales and customer service. The Candidate should have the structural fundamentals behind successful performance in this area, with at least one previous similar role which have demanded same kind of competence.
We expect that the candidate has very good analytical skills and interest, within the sales fundamentals with some industry experience, within hydraulics, construction or similar. The right candidate has experiences from a similar role(s) in a technical based company in a leader role with direct reports.
In addition, we are looking for a self-driven person with high drive combined with structure and attention to critical details. The right candidate is a down to earth person with a good competence and attention to the customers, ability to act as a service provider to fulfill their demands. The leadership style creates engagement and involvement in the team with passion and energy in a democratic way.
An important characteristic for the profile is the ambition to build solid relationships on all levels, externally and internally, and ability to focus on cooperation and long-lasting partnerships. Further, the right candidate has a strong mindset for development, like new Customer Service tools and ways of working.

Experience

  • Some Business Administration education with a degree within engineering and/or technology seen as positive
  • Understanding of the entire business value chain
  • Proven track record of managing a Sales and Customer Service function, on site and remote 
  • Proven leadership skills, a solid, inspirational, and enthusiastic leader
  • Cultural awareness for individuals, teams, and organizations with ability to liaise with different departments understanding the business
  • Technical knowledge seen as positive
  • Fluent in Danish as well as English, orally and in writing
